Austin McQuinn lives and works in Ireland. He works in a broad range of media: painting, sculpture, video and live performance. He has had several solo shows in Ireland and has exhibited in Tasmania, Spain, France, Germany, Korea and China. He was Irish artist in residence for the World Expo 2000 in Hanover, and was commissioned to produce a large site-specific installation for Cork 2005 – European Capital of Culture. In addition to festival commissions he has been awarded many prominent, permanent public sculpture commissions in Ireland. His first exhibition in the United States was with David Cunningham Projects in April 2007.
